This is a real, handmade water buffalo horn bowl. It is smoothly polished and mirror-like. In the images you will see surrounding items and scenery reflected in the bowl.
The horn is cleaved and cleaned firstly. Then the horn is heated with hot steam until malleable. I remove it and cut it to shape. Then I steam heat it again. Once soft I press it into a mold. After cooled I trim the edges and flatten the exterior bottom for standing purposes. Then the long process of sanding, waxing and polishing starts.
